Research Ranking: IREBS ranked 1st in Germany and among the top 20 real estate institutions worldwide

IREBS Executive Education has been recognized as a leading institution in the real estate industry. In the European comparison, IREBS is positioned as the second-ranked institution, trailing closely behind the University of Reading. On a global scale, IREBS holds a close position at 17th place, just behind the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The REAL Ranking compares individuals and institutions in the real estate industry based on their research work and contributions in three real estate journals: Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, the Journal of Real Estate Research, and Real Estate Economics.

Immobilien Zeitung (IZ): IREBS is the top institution for professional education

In the university ranking of 2012 by the Immobilien Zeitung (IZ), the IREBS Executive Education was recognized as the leading professional education institution focusing on real estate among 21 evaluated institutions. In the category of "Overall Studies," the academy received a rating of "excellent." Furthermore, it emerged victorious in four individual categories, including practical relevance, study structure and organization, professors, and learning environment, surpassing its competitors. In a survey, students of the IREBS Executive Education particularly praised the small group sizes, the successful combination of practical expertise from the industry and academic experience, the network, and the outstanding location of the academy.

RICS accreditation

Our part-time programme in Real Estate Economics was accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 1992, making it the first programme of its kind in continental Europe, with retroactive accreditation from 1990.

Since then, the RICS has continuously reaffirmed its recommendation for the part-time programme offered by IREBS Executive Education. The most recent accreditation was granted in January 2019 for the following five years, until the end of 2024. This extended accreditation is a clear indication of the trust and confidence that the RICS has in the IREBS Executive Education. Graduates of the part-time programme in Real Estate Economics can register for examinations with the RICS, demonstrating their qualifications and competency.
