Course Structure

Part-time study programme
Real Estate Transaction Management

The part-time Real Estate Transaction Management programme offers a compact learning opportunity spanning a total duration of three months, divided into three modules. Each module extends over four to six days.

Throughout the programme, participants will spend a total of 13 days in face-to-face sessions at IREBS Executive Education and also attend in a lecture delivered via webcast. This corresponds to a net working time of 9 days. The programme is equivalent to 14 ECTS credits in terms of content and scope.

In addition to the in-person sessions, students will need to allocate time for the examination component. Working in small groups of 3-4 individuals, they will simulate all aspects of a real estate transaction. This includes both technical aspects such as acquisition and structuring, as well as the development of soft skills like pitching and presentation, negotiation techniques, and project management.

Transaction Process and Due Diligence

The initial module examines into the core principles of real estate transaction and due diligence processes, providing a comprehensive understanding.

  • Real estate transactions: market, stakeholders, and process flow
  • Financial due diligence in a transactional environment
  • Corporate and tax law in a transactional context
  • Value creation through digital transaction processes

Analysis and Transaction specifics of Asset Classes

The second module covers the analysis of real estate markets and examines the specifics of transaction processes and due diligence across different asset classes (including considerations of current developments related to ESG regulations).

Structure & Study Formats
  • The study programme in Real Estate Transaction Management spans a total of 14 days over three months, divided into three modules of four or six days each.
  • Time should be allocated for examination preparation.
  • Simulation of all aspects of a real estate transaction in small groups of 3-4 participants.
  • A typical study day consists of eight to ten academic hours of 45 minutes each.
  • Lectures start either at 8:00 AM or 9:30 AM and conclude at either 5:30 PM or 7:30 PM.
  • The sessions are conducted in an in-class format.
  • Participants also attend in a webcast as part of the programme.

The fees will be divided into three instalments:

I. Instalment (20%):                14 days after receiving the written acceptance

II. Instalment (40%):               four weeks prior to the start of the programme

III. Instalment (40%):              at the beginning of the programme

  • Employers often fully or partially cover the fees of further education and training.
  • The expenses for the programme are generally tax deductible.
  • Applicants can expect to receive a response to their application within a few working days.
Target Group & Admission Requirements

The short course Real Estate Transaction Management is open to the following individuals:

  • Professionals and executives focusing on acquisitions, sales, transaction management, due diligence, and portfolio management.
  • Aspiring career changers with introductory experience in transactional operations.
  • Advanced knowledge in real estate and finance is not mandatory, but advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cash flow models is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of due diligence processes and real estate valuation is helpful.
Certificate & Title

Successful graduates of the TREAM programme are awarded the title “Real Estate Transaction Manager (IREBS)”.

  • The completed programme corresponds to 14 ECTS in scope and content.
  • Participation in the TREAM programme is recognised as professional development according to HypZert. Participants will be awarded one day of professional development for each day attended, with a maximum of 3 training days per calendar year.

Continuing Education Opportunities

By completing the Real Estate Transaction Management programme following the completion of REAM, IHAM, or CREM, participating bachelor's degree holders can acquire an additional 30 ECTS credits, supplementing their existing credits. This provides them with long-term prospects to pursue the Executive MBA in Real Estate programme.

Only for the Executive MBA in Real Estate course do we require your documents as a certified copy by post. Scans are generally sufficient for the application.

You can apply for any degree programme at any time, even for programmes that do not start until next year, for example. There is no application deadline in the classical sense, but it is still worth applying early:

  • For some degree programmes, we offer you a reduced early bird price until the respective early bird deadline - usually around three months before the start of the degree programme.
  • Applications are processed in the order in which they are received. All degree programmes have a limited number of participants.
  • If the number of registrations is too low, the start of a programme may be cancelled a few weeks before the start date (see respective terms and conditions).


If you are planning to enrol but still have to wait for your employer's approval or are unable to enrol for other reasons, you have the option of reserving a place on the course without obligation.
