The view over the river Spree, Friedrichstrasse station and the Tränenpalast (Palace of Tears) is a unique panorama over Berlin’s rooftops. Right next to the square is one of the city’s most famous theatres, the Berliner Ensemble, once the domain of Bertolt Brecht. Europe’s largest variety theatre, the Friedrichstadtpalast, is right next door.
Within walking distance too are the Gendarmenmarkt, Friedrichstraße and Unter den Linden with their variety of restaurants, shops and cultural venues.
The Friedrichstraße bus stop is just a few metres from the site and can be reached from the main station on the U6 underground line, bus route 147 and trams M1 and 12 as well as all the suburban railways and regional train lines stopping at Friedrichstraße station.
We will be happy to help you find suitable accommodation. If you have already chosen a hotel and would like an opinion, please call our local customer manager.
